This study investigated into autonomy of English speaking skills for students of Dong A University. In reality, it is difficult for many students to express themselves. Each student has their own problems. From that, we found out the solutions to help them overcome the issues. As can be seen from the study that managing time and practing regularly can be an effective foundation that students take full advantages to improve speaking skill. Besides, the questionnaire was designed for students at Dong A University (N=109). Consequently, some troubles during self-study speaking English on student were found out, which is the foundation for the suggestion of some effective ways to boost their speaking skills.
