Students from the Faculty of Business Administration – Dong A University Win Award at Competition Organized by Da Nang Department of Science and Technology

On December 3, the Da Nang Youth Union and the Department of Science and Technology co-hosted the opening ceremony of the Innovation Startup Festival and the Award Ceremony for the 2022 Da Nang Student Scientific Research Contest.

At the event, the organizers presented awards to the 15 best research projects, including: 2 First Prizes, 2 Second Prizes, 2 Third Prizes, and 9 Consolation Prizes.

After more than 11 months of competition, the contest attracted 500 entries from 13 universities and colleges. From these, 123 outstanding projects were selected for the city-level round. Most topics were practical and highly applicable. The Department of Science and Technology formed five specialized councils and one general council to evaluate and select 30 finalists.

The projects were categorized into four fields: culture and society; engineering and technology; medicine, biology, agriculture, and environment; and education, history, language, and literature.

The First Prizes were awarded to:

  • Phan Thi Kim Phuong and Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan (Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy – University of Da Nang) for their research on “Synthesis of Novel 2-Aminothiazole-3-ium Derivatives and Evaluation of Antibacterial Activity.”

  • Nguyen Hoang Diem Quyen, Nguyen Ngoc Ha An, Nguyen Hoang Van Anh, and Nguyen Huu Tung (University of Economics – University of Da Nang) for their project “To Think and to Feel: A Study into the Relationship between Aesthetics and Users’ Behavioral Intentions toward Mobile Banking Applications.”

The Second Prizes went to:

  • Phan Tuan Nhat, Tran Viet Minh Phat, and Nguyen Van Truc (University of Technology and Education – University of Da Nang) for their “Smart Waste Management System for COVID-19 Home-Treated Patients.”

  • Mai Thi Thu Hien, Pham Van Quoc Hieu, and Truong Van Minh (University of Education – University of Da Nang) for their STEM education research using the topic “Weather” in 10th-grade Physics.

The Third Prizes were awarded to:

  • Ngo Thanh Mai and Nguyen To Luong (University of Education – University of Da Nang) for their study on “Chemical Composition and Biological Activity of Aralia amatar (Wall) Seem Roots.”

  • Dang Thi Lan Trinh, Pham Thi Phuong Na, Nguyen Thi Tai Linh, Le Thi Thuy Duong, and Vo Thi Hien (University of Education – University of Da Nang) for designing an interactive book to raise environmental awareness among 5–6-year-olds.

Additionally, 9 other student groups from 5 universities received Consolation Prizes.

Among them, the project titled “The Influence of FOMO on Online Shopping Intentions of Gen Z in Da Nang - Ảnh hưởng của hiệu ứng FOMO đến ý định mua sắm trực tuyến của thế hệ GenZ tại Đà Nẵng by students Dang Huynh Duc, Truong Nguyen Thu Uyen, and Nguyen Phuong Ngan from the Faculty of Business Administration – Dong A University, received a Consolation Prize.
